Disney has released the first teaser trailer for its live-action Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson as Belle. The trailer sets the scene more than anything else, with a look at the Beast’s castle and that special red rose.
You can also hear some of the voices of Lumiere (Ewan McGregor) and Cogsworth (Ian McKellen), though no indication of how Disney will animate them for this adaptation—most likely CGI, hopefully nothing too much in the uncanny valley. Actually, this is a really impressive cast: Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as Le Fou, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette… Let’s see a longer trailer before the first petals fall!
